Weekly round up #17 back on it . . . . kind of

Alternative fashion blogger Foxxtailz

Whoops lol, I know in my mega May round up, which basically was just a list and a billion pictures of what I got in May, I promised that I’d be back on it when it came to my weekly rounds ups. I fell at the first hurdle and didn't do one last week. Mostly cos 1) I was so tired 2) I’d written a bunch of posts for the weeks anyway 3) I wasn’t feeling too peachy 4) I didn’t have anything prepped.

I kinda don’t for this one BUT I don’t want to fall into the habit of not doing them.

SO, I’m currently in bed with a face mask on because my skin is truly atrocious and very full after being at my other BFF’s baby shower. I took the train back to Selby and we had a rainbow themed afternoon tea for my very lovely friend Pip. I am currently very, very full.

So let’s have a catch up shall we? Chat current affairs, that kinda thing?

The beginning of the week, I finally took my little Cassie cat to get spayed. I felt like the worst cat mum in the world allowing my little fluff butt to get cut up but I knew it was better for her in the long run. As I didn’t want her jumping around too much after her op, me and James have spent the week sleeping on the sofa bed in the living room so she can sleep with us - she’s totally been milking it, this week has been the best week of her life I swear. She’s been extra cute and affectionate since her op. I have of course obliged and given her all the attention she has wanted.

My working week has seemed to be the longest week in existence. I’ve stopped wishing for the weekend but this week I was glad when Friday finally came around. I also started a new boot camp class at my gym, the morning after my butt really hurt so I hope that means I’m doing something right. . . .

I’ve booked and planned a bunch of trips to London, I was invited to an Oliver Bonas event the second week of July - their press days always look really fun so I’m excited to be able to attend one. I’m also going the week after to hang out with some OG blogger friends and have a big old catch up with them.

Saturday I started a monthly collaboration with Q61 in Leeds. They’re a gorgeous Beauty salon just off Briggate. I went to a blog event for the opening back in 2017 and it’s lovely to see how much the company has flourished. My first appointment was for LVL lashes and a pedicure. I have super short lashes that point down, after having the treatment done I was super impressed with how my natural lashes looked after! The treatment is £45 and last 8 weeks. I got some colourful leopard print gels done that I’m obsessed with and can’t stop looking at

Things I’ve loved this week:

  • Shampoo bars from Lush - James and I are really trying to make a conscious effort when it comes to plastic consumption so we’ve been swapping out every day products for some more eco friendly ones. We’re currently using Jumping Juniper, it smells beaut and leaves your hair feeling legit squeaky clean
  • On the same vein, I managed to find some more re-usuable make up cloths from Primark. I’ve been using my original one for over a year now and I was happy to find a 3 pack in store!
  • Miley Cyrus’ new EP. Mother Daughter is a bangerrrrrr. The one with Ru Paul is a bit strange. . . . when I saw they had done one together I didn’t think it would be that great . . . .
  • My new Docs! I finally got my gifted Docs from when I was taken to Live at Leeds back in May after many an email chasing up about them. I bloody love them and the best part is, they’re super soft and don’t need breaking in
  • Me and James binge-watched Dead To Me this week and Black Mirror. I loved how fast paced Dead To Me was and I’m already looking forward to the next season. Black Mirror was a bit meh. Reallllllyyyy liked the Ashley O episode cos, Miley Cyrus.
  • Eye for Eye. I actually did a paid ad for this book, I’m under no obligation to post about it here BUT I’ve been neglecting my books as we’ve been binge watching GOT. However I’m fully back into the swing of things. I’m nearly done with it and can’t wait to see what happens
  • I’ve been wanting some Dickies for agessss. I used to have a pair when I was 16 and wanted to get back on ~ that ~ I got a pair a few months ago from ASOS and after trying various sizes they just wouldn’t go near me. The fit was all wrong. I managed to get some Santa Cruz ones in more or less the same colour in my actual size in the sale that fit! Yass for correct sizing.

Until next time lads xo
