Why I’m no longer saving stuff for best

Regular blogging pattern - is that you?! lol no, not really. I’m currently forcing myself to finally write the words to accompany the shots that have been sitting in my drafts for weeks. I’m in a constant battle of not forcing it and "am I being super lazy and just CBA to get back into the habit of blogging", especially with Instagram being such an easy [and lazy] way of sharing content. So I am really really trying to not neglect this space of mine that has brought me so much joy and opportunities over the last 4 years.

A new ~thing~ I’m into at the moment [so fickle Jess] is Marie Kondoing the legit everything. From my clothes, material possessions, social media platforms and who I follow - I’ve purged them all. I’m currently on the 73643789427th time I’ve gutted my wardrobe [actual number of times] and managed to shift a fair bit of it on Instagram. So not only am I dealing with my clothes holding ways, I’ve also managed to pay off a good chunk of my credit card in the process - mortgage here I come! Or I hope so at least . . . .  However, I still feel like I need to keep on purging until my belongings are more streamline and I can have more control of what’s added to my wardrobe and home, making sure no necessary volume in belongings occur again.

As well as all the positives mentioned above, I’ve also rediscovered bits in my wardrobe that were hidden behind fodder and stopped clinging onto the notion that some things should be kept for best for it to then result in never being worn and literally gathering dust on your hanging rail.  Which brings me to my beloved Lazy Oaf dress. I’ve been waiting to wear my LO dress for a “suitable occasion”. I fell completely in love with the dress as soon as I saw it but was heart broken at the price tag to then be ridcously happy when I saw it had gone into the sale at a price that I could afford. What’s the point in going through all those emotions for your dream dress for it to be then hidden away in my wardrobe and not enjoyed because a “suitable Occasion” hasn’t come up.

I decided to brighten up a particularly gloomy day and wear this dreamy pink beauty for a photo day round Manchester. I love that this dress has a hint of a western vibe with its shirt style and the shade of pink is literally the cutest. I’m not an overly cutsey girl when it comes to my dress sense so to give thes outfit an edge I often crave I added a pair of fishnets [shock] and my double soled Docs. For real, its love with these boots. Now they kinda have stopped resembling torture devices for my feet, I’m reaching for them more and more. If I was wearing a dress this dreamy I of course had to wear my Lazy Oaf bear bag with it, like had to. I was SO gutted when I missed out on the first drop and like fuck was I going to buy one off depot or eBay when people were selling them for such stupid prices. I audibly GASPED when I saw it had gone back in to stock and checked out quicker then you can say “ButJesswhataboutyoursavings?!’ Jokes lads, my savings are fine, kinda.

The only annoying thing about this dress is that it’s a little on the shorter side which is a shame as LO usually nail it with the length of their dresses.

Anywayz, heres to making more of my wardrobe and stopping wasting my clothes waiting for a “suitable occasion”
