Styling Summer Clothes For Winter

Hands up if you're sick to death of being cold and if you look at your summer wardrobe with wanting and despair because it’s too damn cold to utilise it as its currently -9749824792 degrees meaning if you go out without all the layers, you’ll at least loose one of your limbs and 6 toes to frost bite. This is currently me - and I’m so over it. Winter dressing is tricky when over 90% of your wardrobe is better suited to summer, however, the other weekend I decided to use layering to my advantage and style some summer pieces for a winter OOTD - and I bloody LOVED how it turned out.

I’d been DYING to wear this teal snake print dress that Tallulah’s Threads sent me but didn’t want to wait for the weather to warm up, because lets face it, its gonna be a good while before that happens.  We can all agree that this dress is going to be perfect for summer, but for winter, could I make it work? I’ve had a bit of a thing with wearing my Lazy Oaf roll neck under EVERYTHING and seeing as the dress had a super cute contrasting pink neck I thought I’d try and match the top up with the dress and see if it worked. The end result was dreamier then I thought it would be - I just love how a roll neck looks poking out of tops/dresses.

To finish off the outfit, I added my double western belt and double soled Docs and just basically wanted to live in this outfit for the rest of my days, the whole thing was such a vibe and I loved it. If you hadn’t guessed already I love making my outfits as colourful as possible. The double pattern clash was an added bonus to the already uber dreamy combo.

191956/10 would recommend you doing the same with some of your summer pieces!
