Why is it so damn hard to find a dress that covers my butt?!

I feel with the current heatwave/good weather I’ve really been able to embrace my wardrobe. Most of the stuff I have is better suited to the warmer weather so I’ve been able to really utilise and put together multiple outfits I’d otherwise have to cram into the usual 4 days we get of summer. Basically what I am trying to say is I bloody love it.

To combat the heat and be my most commutable through the heat, I’ve kinda been living in different variations of dresses. I’m not usually one to go for dresses so frequently, but the hot weather has been the exception to the rule. The only thing that has kinda been doing my head in is that I find it hard to get dresses that are long enough to not show my butt to the world. Ya gal is 5’8 and bloody struggles when it comes to getting dresses that are a decent length and doesn’t mean I don’t have to whack out the old safety shorts.

So, a couple of weeks back when I got to pick out some bits from Joanie's site, I thought I’d see if their dresses were any different and actually would cover my butt. I went for a novel blue polkadot number - something I fell in love with immediately and hoped it would pass the length test - spoiler, it did. I finally have a dress in my wardrobe I can wear without worrying I’m going to flash the general public and keep my dignity in tact. The dress is a style I wouldn’t ordinarily go for but I was kinda digging the vintage vibe and already envisioning how I could put my own personal spin on it and make it my own. I also really bloody love the split down the front - it gives it a bit of an edge.

For it’s first outing I felt full on summer and teamed it with my Twoobs - I haven’t been wearing much else in the heat and a cute flower crown cos YOLO and I thought it was cute and kinda lame but in an “I dig how lame this is" way. Does that make sense? No? Ok.
