Why I’ve cooled off with blogging

Alternative Fashion Blogger Foxxtailz
I know what you're thinking, like fuck I've cooled off with blogging. I still post 3 times a week, post blog related shizzle on the gram and schedule those tweets to keep up with growing site traffic.

What I mean is. I've well and truly cooled off with the blogging pressure and the absolute NEED to do all the blog thangs every spare second I can - and I'm more than ok with it.
I got myself into a bit of a pressurised rut with blogging last month, I got an influx of work [which I'm v v grateful for ] but I panicked and did that thing I do where I second guess everything I produce not deeming it good enough for the brand - exhausting.

Even though I love to blog, I've let it take over my life - and not in a good way. I'd be waking up early to cram in as many shoots possible, film as many videos as possible to then go away and edit and schedule. I've hardly had any me time, letting blogging dictate every single second of my spare time until I was legit working myself to the bone and what for? To be tired at work? To not see my friends as much? To not spend time with James?  It was silly. The last few weekends I've apoted a more laid-back approach. Done a shoot here or there if I felt like it, sacked it off to socialise and it's been so refreshing. It then made creating content for brands so much more fluid, without the pressure I've been able to actually be creative and make stuff I like without all the second-guessing.

I'm currently sat on a lot of content at the momnemt due to months of unecessary pressure, but once I've gone through that I feel I may be blogging as and when I feel - for the meantime, I just want to enjoy living.

  1. I read the title of this post and thought fuck nooooo. I just love seeing your outfits and I'm so happy that I'd taken it the wrong way.

Cooling off the pressure is definitely a good thing to do, you always need to make sure you have you time and time for socialising!

    Keep being great!

  2. Good for you. Blogging is supposed to be about sharing your life but if it takes over, there's no life to share! xx
