How I style streetwear with my alternative twist

Alternative Fashion Blogger Foxxtailz Styles NICCE Hoodie

My names Jess and I've become addicted to anything slightly checkerboard.

I am 100% blaming this on my fascination with Vans since a young age and I'm kinda digging that it's started creeping into high street fashion after it being a bit meh the last few months. Even though that fake Gucci epidemic is still rife, it's cool to FINALLY see something else to choose from other stripes and that Gucci ''inspired'' logo sorry not sorry lads.My latest checkerboard piece I've incorporated into my ever expanding collection is a zip up dress from Love Too True I've been eyeing up for the last few months but have put off buying it as I am trying to be an adult and actually save some of my cash. I'd seen it had gone into a flash sale and well, it would have been rude not to have picked it up - especially with a third off. One thing that's slightly annoying is that it's a bit too small and whenever I wear it, I'm dangerously close to showing the world my butt - nothing new there then. To combat the potential wardrobe malfunction waiting to happen, I've been wearing it with a pair of checkerboard shorts [told you collection was vast] to help me save my dignity, well, kind of.

Another new addition that has made its way to my wardrobe is this super fun hoodie from NICCE. Instead of going for one of the safer black women's hoodies, I immediately fell in love with this yellow number with black accents which may be a small detail but make a maximum impact against the sunshine yellow.  I've recently been dabbling in streetwear, not to the extent to decipher my Stussy from my Supreme,  I'm purely talking about mixing in hoodies into my everyday outfits and making streetwear work for me and my more alternative style. After all, isn't that what exploring your style is about? Making it work for you instead of making it please the masses? I'd have the first over the latter any day.

I decided to, instead of styling the hoodie with a pair of jeans/leggings have a bit of fun and throw it over my checkerboard dress, add a pair of fishnets and my new vans x Lay Oaf shoes that FINALLY decided to show up. Safe to say, I'm obsessed and they were worth the wait. I'm also kinda obsessed with how the overall look turned out and the dreamy combo of the yellow and checkerboard print turned out better than expected.

Oh btw, I will be living in this NICCE hoodie for the foreseeable future as it's comfy AF and I legit haven't taken it off allllll weekend.
