Why I’ve stopped applying the pressure when it comes to my blog

Alternative fashion blogger Foxxtailz
Oh hey there! I feel like it's been a little while since I've written anything for my blog, I'm usually weeks scheduled in advance with written up posts but for the last few weeks I've stopped applying so much pressure on myself and my blog. I'd spend every weekend squishing in blog editing, videoing editing, trying to shoot at least 4 new looks, getting Instagram content for the week sorted and trying to film at least 2 videos for my YouTube channel. On top of that I'd try and catch up on my sleep, the Gym, spending time with James and chilling out and I realised the pressure of trying to fit in so much blog stuff just seemed . . . . silly. I've kinda done away with sticking to a strict posting 3 times a week schedule. If I feel like bashing out 3 posts one week then I'll do it, if I fancy having a bit of a breather I'm not gonna beat myself up about it. This new blogging mindset has actually left me feeling a lot lighter, not needing the unnecessary pressure. Juggling a full-time job and a blog ain't easy, I need to remember that I need to take a break before I get major burn out.

~anyway~

A few weeks ago, I was having a bit of a style thang, and I just didn't know what to wear, I was having one of thoseI have no clothes meltdowns that I have 17 times a week. It's not helped that winter seems to have lasted 17 million years either leaving me feeling very meh and just wanting to wear anything that resembles a duvet burrito. A few weekends ago, we were hashtag blessed with a bit of sunny-ish weather and not wanting it to go to waste I decided to dig out some stuff I haven't been able to wear since last year. I, of course, dug out my fave pastel pink denim jacket that I picked up from my trip to Tokyo back in 2015, It's for sure a spring/summer staple of mine and brings fun to any outfit. I also really really wanted to wear my new Zara leggings Jim Jam picked out for me. I seem to have lost all my leggings/jeans so I invested in some new ones. EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING seems to have a strip down them in the high street which was fine for the first few months but a year on I'd like to see something a little different you know? As the stripe seemed to be unavoidable James spotted these checked ones that echo the tartan thang I love so much meaning I still felt me. Lastly, I threw on this super wicked screen printed T that the guys at Yukfunwow sent out to me to style up. Ya gal is all about the clash which I loved that the crazy print of the T and my checked leggings had.

Shame it's now gone back to winter eh lads?
