Alternative Fashion Blogger Foxxtailz

Yes yes, it's another roundup/highlights post #soznotsoz. 2017 has been one heck of a ride, one heck of a GOOD ride. One heck of a ride that I'm bloody proud of and here's why. But, before I begin, please before I get started on this, this is no way intended to be a ''LOOK AT ALL THE COOL SHIT THAT HAPPENED TO ME'' type post. It's a roundup of things I did, personal achievements, a post full of good memories, reflections and having a frigging good time whilst doing so.

I would go as far to say 2017 was my happiest year. The year I've felt true contentment with life. I may not have a bank fulla money or a house I own but what I do have makes me richer. I've a group of the loveliest friends, old and new. A relationship with my boy that's stronger then ever, I bagged my dream job in fashion - something I never thought was possible and I finally moved back to the city.

As well as personal achievements, it's also been one hell of a ride for Iamfoxxtailz and honestly, I couldn't be prouder of my little space on the net. so I'm gonna share with you my top 5 blog achievements.

Working with the GoodDYEYoung

I mean come on, The GoodDyeYoung for crying out loud. I'm still not over it and I don't think I'll ever ever be over it. We all know Hayley Williams is my Idol and I've been obsessed with Paramore since I was 15, but to actually get to work with her company was really a is this really happening moment! The Shots taken by my incredibly talented friend Katie are still some of my faves ever and I was super pleased with! Hayley even quote tweeted my blog post on Twitter and I just about had a heart attack when I saw it.

Being Featured in a Magazine

Back in summer [wrapped currently in 917186819 layers just to fend off frostbite in my flat it seems forever a go] I was interviewed for My M magazine that was sold in shops and everything! It was such a cool thing to be a part of and to see it in print and a little bit mind-blowing. I was completely honoured and blown away to be asked.

Winning 2 blog awards

Ok so, if you had told me back in 2015 that the blog I was thinking about starting up for a bit of fun was gonna win two freaking awards I would have laughed in your face whilst trying to work how to get that perfect OOTD shot with self-time [It's hard] out of everything with blogging that is my biggest achievement. 3 months down the line and I still can't believe it. I really do put my heart and soul into my blog, if I'm not at work or sleeping, I'm working on content for my blog and for it win 2 awards well, it's just the fucking coolest. I've made some great friends through blogging and have finally found a place and a community I can fit into after years of being a bit of an outsider. The love and support that the blogging community shows each other is second to none.

I was on a panel

So, ya gal despite being a bit of a gobshite is incredibly, incredibly shy. Public speaking makes my palms sweaty and my voice resembles a mouse. I was asked by the Blogosphere magazine if I'd like to be on the panel for finding your authentic voice online for their Blogosphere Christmas festival with some really really talented bloggers. Despite being fucking nervous, it was an opportunity I couldn't turn down - and I'm so glad I didn't. The day was filled with inspiring talks and lost of fun. I got to hang out with bloggers I'd been wanting to meet for the longest time and just had a really good day. I left feeling super fuzzy - however, that could have been the prosecco ;)

I got signed

Last week I was signed to an agency for my blog ending my year on an absolute high. This doesn't mean overnight success or instant work - I'll still be working my butt off just as hard if not harder to get somewhere, I just feel like my goal of making this my career is that little bit closer. I'm looking forward to what 2018 will bring me.*

*Edit 10/01/2018 I made the decision to be no longer associated with the agency I signed with in December 2017.

What are your highlights of the year?
