London Get Away

Alternative Style Blogger Foxxtailz

The weekend just gone James and I decided to book an overnight stay in London. This year, I have visited London a hell of a lot of times. However, this is usually for some sort of blog thang, I can't remember the last time I went down to just hang out enjoy London and its tourist traps and I can't remember the last time I hung out just James and I, no rushing about no needing to be somewhere, just Jim I and doing whatever the frack we want in London. When James and I first started going out, the first year of our relationship we went down to London a lot and had a blast. So this weekend we decided to do just that. There's always stuff I always mean to do when I visit London but never get round to doing it, so this is exactly what we used this weekend for.

The first day after catching the train realllyyy hungover and sleep deprived [seriously staying out till 2am drinking when you've got a 9.30am train to catch the next day is not big nor clever] we headed off to the London Dungeons. James had never been before whereas I had and I knew he'd love it. We're super weird and enjoy all the gross stuff history has to offer, like learning about pest houses, Jack the Ripper and medieval torture. Nice. I even got put in a cage for treason and then I was let out by a plague doctor which was nothing short of terrifying.

Cos I'm nothing short of a shopaholic, I realllyyy wanted to go down to Carnaby street as there's literally all my faves in one place, Urban Decay, Monki, Lazy Oaf, The Ragged Priest and Dr. Martens. I was mentally spending all my dollar on a tone of stuff I couldn't afford. I also couldn't resist taking a few snaps of my outfit against this uber colourful wall - you know I'm a sucker for a well bright backdrop. I was kinda stumped as to what to pack for the two days away. It's been nothing short of baltic the week leading up to the weekend but for whatever reason, we had a mini Indian summer which I fully loved, however, I was a bit put out with what to wear as I've started adjusting to autumnal outfits. In the end, I decided to go with my forever fave UNIF shorts, these bad boys have been my best friend in the summer months since 2015 - well worth the £90 + customs charges . . . . a pair of fishnets as it was still October and I didn't dare do full on bare leg, my docs cos I apparently am incapable of choosing any other footer and my Sanat Cruz oversized top.

For accessories, I wore my new Ice Watches watch with a rubber strap and pink glitter face which has a kinda sporty vibe that I fully LOVE. I also wore my Slytherin-esque choker the babes at Regal Rose sent over for me to style up, totes makes me feel like a Malfoy. After our quick stint down Carnaby street it was time to admit defeat as the hangover had well and truly kicked in, hence the eye bags and vacant expression in these snaps, so James and I headed back to our hotel with a Nandos veggie feast and all the snacks to eat in bed whilst watching the devil wears Prada.

Wearing:
Shorts UNIF | Top Santa Cruz | Shoes Dr. Martens x Lazy Oaf Collaboration | Choker* Regal Rose | Watch* Ice Watches
