I won an Award?

Alternative Fashion Blogger Foxxtailz
Not just any award, I won blogger of the year and best Fashion blog at the blogger's blog awards this weekend. Now, before I get into this, I don't want this to come across as a braggy post, I want it to be one full of gratitude to every single person that has supported me on my blogging journey, that voted for me and the people that believed in me when as cliche as it sounds, I didn't believe in myself. For helping me achieve my goals. It's truly such a humbling feeling. And ima keep this short and sweet.

I started this blog for one main reason, I wanted to help promote and show people that it's cool to embrace your own personal style and to well, do you. Fashion and how you present yourself is just another form of your creativity and extension of your personality where you can be 100% you.

I had so much fun at the award ceremony on Saturday, Lucy, Jess, Robyn and I stayed at a hotel in Leeds, got ready and had a few pre-drinks at the hotel before ubering it to the venue. It was so good to finally meet in person other bloggers have a few drinks and just hang out and have fun and be silly, and after a few tins of dark fruits, things got a lil bit rowdy.

Now, when it came to announcing the winners we were all a big ball of nerves, every single category was filled with super talented people! When my name was called for the fashion category I couldn't believe it, I didn't have anything prepared to say, I had to face my fears of public speaking, was lost for words and just blurted out a thank you a few fucks and asked if I could sit back down - how dignified haha. I then did basically the same thing again when my name was called for blogger of the year.

The rest of the evening was so fun, I laughed until I hurt and had a massive smile on my face. It's pretty great to be a part of such a supportive community. A Huge well done to all the other award winners everyone else who was shortlisted, S/O to mega babe Hayley and massive thanks for putting in so much hard work into the event and everyone that voted for me to win. I still can't believe it, this means so much to me. From a girl that was scared to be herself for so long and put down when she dared to, to now doing what the fuck she wants, when she wants because it makes her happy.
