China Town

Day 2 of our London adventure started off a lil more fresh then the days previous. After a Nandos feast in bed, the Devil Wears Prada and an early night in one of the comfiest hotel beds eva, James and I were ready to take on a full day of playing tourist round 2. We kicked things off with a trip to Gabeto in Camden, we had been invited by the guys to try out their brunch menu and seriously lads, I'm still dreaming of their veggie brekkie and red blend smoothie in was so DELISH.

Now, the rest of the day was kinda a bit meh. As in we went to go tick off a bunch of places we'd always been meaning to check out but never got round to. We headed off to Portable Road Market to find that well, it was a little bit disappointing. Perhaps I'm not doing it justice, or that we went on the wrong day/were in the wrong part but I couldn't help but feel a little bit underwhelmed. . . . I did, however, find Hummingbird bakery and of course picked out a Halloween themed cupcake so not all was a loss. As we were in the area, we headed off to have a mooch around Notting Hill and that was kinda the same. . . . after seeing one beautifully pastledised building, You've kinda seen them all.

I really wanted to check out China town as I remembered from when I went travelling, I really enjoyed having a wander around the different China towns around the world, one of my fondest memories was exploring the one in San Francisco and since then I've always had a bit of a nostalgic thing for them. Unfortunately, Jim has an aversion to Chinese food so we couldn't eat at any of the restaurants, but it was cool to just have a walk through and take in the atmosphere of it all and yano take advantage of a beaut backdrop for pictures. . . .

The weather was still really mild and the sky a weird orange haze as we were on the cusp of storm Ophelia, I dedicated to for a summer dress and shirt combo. I was purely seeking comfort as I knew it would be a packed day of walking and doing thangs, so I thought the combo would tick all boxes when it came to being comfy, cool and still being able to wear something fun. I thought my Lazy Oaf cat shirt was the perfect choice to bring the fun element I crave when putting an outfit together.

After China town, James and I stuffed our faces at MOD pizza and headed back to Carnaby street cos ya gal has problems.
