The thing with Shein

I'm currently in a fully fledged bout of the schmonday blues. For me, the weekends seem to be going super quick [quicker than usual]. I have quite a demanding job that's quite mentally draining, with a long daily commute on top and trying to squeeze in at least 3 sessions at the gym, by the time Friday comes around I'm exhausted. The weekends then are the only days I can blog/edit/film/socialise/clean/do life admin/rest. Cramming all that into 48 hours is kinda tough leaving me little or no time to rest. After a whirlwind mini trip to London Saturday just gone for the blogger festival and trying to catch up on weekend duties this Sunda, my weekend has slipped away from me again in the blink of an eye leaving me in no way ready or wanting to go back to work.

So, Shein, this is the second time they have featured on my blog. They're a fashion brand known for cheaper than cheap items - I'm still not convinced it's totally worth it. As well as questionable sizing, the quality of the goods can be a bit of a gamble, I guess with how much things cost its a case of you get what you pay for. My advice if you're wanting to shop their items is 1) defo check the sizing, I'm a size 10 and have to size up to a large/ extra large 2) check what the item is made from. Some of the stuff really isn't great quality. From day one of starting this blog, I've always vowed to give nothing but truthful opinions and experience of items I've either bought or been gifted. A total none bullshit approach, if somethings not good, I'm not gonna sugar coat it.

After my first experience with them being a bit hit and miss, when they asked if I'd like to pick something else out, I thought I would give it a second chance before making my mind up. This time I opted to play it safe and picked out a sweater plus with it getting a bit nippier, It would also come in handy for the upcoming winter months. I've got to say, this time around I was much more impressed. The jumper was a medium and actual seemed to be sized correctly, the quality of it was gorgeous and is so unbelievably soft on the inside.

Usually, I steer away from anything kinda turtle/funnel necked as I feel they make me look like I have about 82620 chins, but this one was a little bit wider and so much more comfortable. I'm also not sure how I feel about wearing yellow when I have red hair, I feel like it's bringing unwanted Ronald Mcdonald vibes. . . .
