You used to be weird

Alternative Style Blogger Foxxtailz Lazy Oaf

I don't know where this used to came from but I assure you pals that I am still 100% weird as I always have been, perhaps even more so, who knows?

Lazy oaf is a bit of a running theme on the blog at the moment and I am totally digging it and equally LOVIN" the sale purchases I made. The dress, the dress guys holy hell its love perhaps there should be a wedding so buy a hat in prep for that cos holy hell I'm IN.LOVE [I know I said that already but I need to enthesis the love love LOVEE] Now, in reality, I should have gone for a small but I always get medium when shopping online to be on the safe side as I know a few brands run small and CBA sending the dress back if I got a small and it didn't end up fitting plus, sometimes baggy is good and you can get away with it.

However I''m gonna flip that theory right on its head as I could have got away with it being a lil smaller with it being a smock dress. I feel like I can never fully pull off smock dresses as I look like I'm wearing a really really big sack like dress [ I know sometimes that's the point] so I always end up looking a bit daft. That's until I pull out a skinny faux leather belt and cinch in that waist and voila, 90% of the time it doesn't look dumb and I wholeheartedly beleive this is one of the 90% of those times.

Things I love about this dress, a list:

  • It' stripy
  • It's black and white stripy, now I know I'm the queen of colour but I do have a thang for monochrome stripes
  • It has a slogan
  • The slogan has weird in it and if embroidered in a black squishy heart
  • The sleeves are the most extra sleeves I own
  • It's long enough to cover my butt
  • I got it for half the price, thx sale Gods
  • The neck is like a T-shirt
  • I feel fabulous as fuck in it

The day I wore this I was debating whether to wear it or not, in fact, I was a little bit scared to which never really happens, I got dressed and redressed a thousand times until I thought fuck it and spent the day in York believing I had made the right clothing choice. I did however manage to rub makeup on the front of the dress after taking it off and on so many times so erm yeah, soz about that. I think it was because I didn't know if I'd be warm enough in it, I did pair if with my baby pink Zara jacket that looked FABULOUS with it and fishnets because cba to shave me legs hahaa and finally my Vans because well their my vans and I live in them. The socks were a last but good minute decisions to add some trademark colour to the outfit.

I got a little bit fed up trying to do a shoot in York as it was PACKED last Saturday, I mean, there is usually an abundance of tourists from all over the globe but LORD there were so many people it felt like being in a squished Camden on a sunny Saturday. I was all ready for going home when I remembered this little side street with its kitsch bunting and we shot away. We did spot mid-shoot those as an American couple wanted to show their little girl the tattoo of my cat on my leg, the asked me what her name was and I gave them her full one, they looked at me weird and hurried off. For those of you that want to know its: Lady Cassandra Elderflower Marshall-Ayton the first. Or Cass/LAdy C for short. I'm not crazy I promise, I just like to be a little bit eleborate.

Can I just also draw your attention the beaut killer whale necklace I'm wearing? I was very kindly sent this across from TomSky along with some other bits and I was blown away by how GORGEOUS they were. I'll be doing a full post dedicated to them soon because they're just so dagorgeousoues. Guys got serios talant!

  1. I absolutely love Lazy Oaf and have so many of their pieces from over the years. I remember being like 15 and buying a jumper from their store in Kings Court Carnaby Street (it's not there anymore). It was so emo and I loved it haha. This dress looks amazing on you xx
