Urban Exploration and Nailing that Summer Outfit

Foxxtailz Alternative Style Blogger

Holy hell it's hot today, or it was, depending on when you're reading this and when I decided to get it up but basically today [Saturday] has been hot as balls and I've loved it. I had a really really good day in Manchester, for the first time in around a week I haven't had a hint of plane anxiety [ask me again the day of the flight] and I was actually able to enjoy myself. But man, the Northern Quarter, or just Manchester in general. I love it. There's something about this city that leaves me with a huge grin plastered on my face whilst walking around. I'm forever daydreaming of the day when I can move to a flat with a balcony overlooking the city, where I'd wake in the morning, and head out with camera in hand and just go explore my new urban home. For now, I just make the most of the frequent trips we make.

This time round I managed to tick a bunch of stuff off that I've been dying to do [inculding going to Black Milk in the Northern Quarter to see the dreamy interiors and have the nicest strawberry shake] we also had a wander around and spotted some new street art before heading across to the Arndale to grab last minute bits for Zante, ya gal managed to get the sickest playsuit from Urban Outfitters down to £4 from £32 in sale [Wot U sayinnnn'] a watermelon swimming costume and doughnut inflatable so I'd say I was pretty much Zante ready.

OBVS I managed to squeeze in a little blog shoot, now the beady-eyed of you will recognise this location for my first ever lookbook and this also this post. I kept my outfit pretty simple cos 1) most of my stuff is all packed up for my holiday and 2) as it was so friggin' hot and I knew I would be wandering around Manchester so comfort was key. I kinda dug it, pairing a bright crop with my trusty culottes proved not as a boring outfit as I thought [great English there Jess] I kinda felt like Jess circa 2004 when I was at the height of my Arvil Lavinge phase. I'm still loving the bandanna thang as I think the blue and the red make a dreamy combo and it also helps to hide my roots whilst I fade out the blue. . . .
