It's time to shake things up around here and I'm not just talking about my blog

Alternative Blogger

Sometimes a change is needed and lately, they're are a few changes I'm itching to make, they're not huge ones, but things I want to start doing more of in my life and the lifestyle I lead, as we're nearly half way through the year, I want to see if I can maintain the lifestyle changes I'm gonna be  making.

1) I want to take better care of my hair. Yes yes I know, I dye and basically abuse my hair and honestly I'm really surprised it hasn't started to fall out after the years of damage I have inflicted on my poor poor stands. After I've dyed the ''pink'' side blue to match my other side [don't ask] There's gonna be no more bleaching minus when the old roots get desperate, no more colour changes and no more heat applied to my hair. I'm going to invest in some good hair care, continue to take my biotin and literally leave my hair the hell along. It's gonna be a frizzy 2017.

2) I want to take better care of my body. TBF, this is kinda a cop out one, what I should have said is I want to continue to take better care of my body. I already attend the gym weekly and have done for the past few months alongside my weekly pole classes but tiredness from work permitting, I want to start challenging myself more and really push my body. I've already seen some positive changes to the shape of my body and also to my mental health too. I just need to keep on at it.

3) I want to eat better Again, TBF I eat pretty well 90% of the time, it's just my love for sugar that really lets me down, it's fine to have a balanced diet and have treats from time to time but I have no self-control, a treat turns into a full binge on all the sugar which later in life ain't gonna be good for me, plus it's reeking absolute havoc on my skin.

4) I want to stop buying so many clothes  lol yup, you read right. I want to stop buying as many clothes that I did. I want to stop buying stuff on a whim or ''just because''. I want to make better purchases when it comes to clothes, I only want to buy clothes that I need or if it's something I don't have replicated 89749027492 times in my wardrobe, here's looking at you pile of slogan tees or all the collection of black boots. I'm going to strat making better choices in my purchase, I want to buy things I'm gonna love for a ling time, not just a fashion season. And hopefully, save some money in the process. . . .

5) I want to take care of my skin As mentioned in one of the points above, I'm ging to try and get a handle on the condition of my skin. I'm going to see if I can get it to clear up, I'm going to strat some sort of a skin care routine and actually keep to it, I'm only 3 years off 30 so I think it's time I started taking better care of my skin.

Are there any lifestyle changes you're wanting to make to the rest of your year? Let me know in the comments below.

  1. You can never have too many clothes! Let's be real there! Plus, if you stopped buying clothes - I wouldn't look at you and be like... Mini Hayley WIlliams hahah!

Skin and better eating are also things I want to do too!

  2. I made the same decision about my hair a few years ago! I remember I went to the hairdresser and she was like you need to cut most of it off as it's dry and broken haha. These sound like really positive changes girl, best of luck keeping up with them :)

  3. These are great changes to make! I have been bleaching my hair for 5 years now, but recently I've been going to a friend of mine. It's a bit pricey, but my hair feels amazing! My hair is whiter than ever (think game of thrones), and its super soft! I've also been taking better care of my skin too! I really recommend the vitamin C serum by Mario Baadescue! It makes my skin super soft and healthy! Let me know if you want any more tips on that :) xxx

  4. Great changes. I stopped bleaching my hair years ago and thought that's it, it's all good now. But I wasn't actually taking care of it, and although it was long and thick it was sooooo bad. Hence chopping it all off.

I think the blue really suits you so can't wait to see it all blue.

  7. I really need to start eating better. I eat so much crap (currently sat with a box of buns open next to me) and not enough fruit and healthy foods. I need to take care of my hair as well, I don't colour it or anything, but I use too much heat and rarely cut it and it's a mess.

  8. My hairdresser is always amazed at my hair and how it's still in pretty good condition. I think it's mainly because Im super lazy so I may dye the hell out of it but my roots get horrendous and I rarely use heat because effort. I also want to take better care of my body and skin and start working out more and building my strength. We've totally got this
