My Ultimate Wardrobe Staple && why I'm why I'm going back to the old me

Recently, I've been increasingly aware that my blog, in particular, the writing aspect of it has been a bit sub-par. To be quite Frank [who is this Frank btw and why do we want to be him??] the writing side of it has become a bit of a chore and I've not really been enjoying it anymore . . . . I love creating the photos and I love plotting and coming up with ideas for posts but when it comes to sitting down and doing the writing side [the bit I used to love the most] I come up short.

I've avoided writing about it in any of my posts the past months because this is ultimately a fashion blog and I didn't want to bring that kind of negativity into anything I posted, after all, we're here for the clothes. It wasn't until I was reading back on a few of my older posts from the early days of Iamfoxxtailz where, to put it bluntly, I wrote about whatever the hell I wanted plus the clothes. Somewhere along the line of being uber aware of this being a fashion blog and that's all I should have content wise, I lost my personality in my writing. I was so focused on being "fashion" I forgot about the fun, something I have planned on stopping immediately.

Let's get back to the old Jess shall we?

Las weekend James and I went to Leeds, I choose something I wanted to wear and not something I thought I should wear for the sake of content for my blog. I picked out my clothes that were basically surgically attached to me all last year through the warmer months. I'm so happy it's warmer again cos spoiler alert, I can see the same thing happening again this summer. Plus they went amazingly with my new Bershka Girls can do anything shirt. Even if it hadn't, I would have still worn it anyway as it had just arrived the day before and I had the ''I must and will wear this right now'' vibe.  I love empowering slogan tees, they're forever reminding me how fortunate I am and that as a woman we can achieve anything. A mantra I'm trying out this year. Determination has become my middle name as of late. I tied the shirt to the side to give this outfit a bit more shape, crops and high waisted culottes are like a staple combo for me.

So in short, as this is my digital alternative style diary, where I document what I wear, I didn't worry about the shots being editorial or magazine worthy [this ain't Vouge for crying out loud] and I had a hell of a lot of fun doing so.

  1. I always struggle to write for fashion/ outfit posts and I never know what to say! These photos are the bomb! I am in love with your style and I love the culottes trend and would totally agree that they are your style staple! I have a pair and whenever I wear them I often think of you! Fab post as usual girl!

  3. I love the tee, it really suits your style too. Sometimes doing things ‘just for the blog’ can take the fun out of them, and it’s nice to do things just for you every now and then

  4. Love all of these photos! And I can't wait to read all your future posts, it can be exhausting when we start doing everything for the blog, it's definitely a lot more fun when we're just living our lives and posting about it, instead of the other way around.
