Diamond in the Rough

Alternative Fashion Blogger

Do you know how hard it is to do a blog shoot with a bike? Harder than it should be, especially when the local scooter gang made up if kids that can be no older than 9 stare at you menacingly while simultaneity doing that thing where they kick their scooter so it spins around the handle bars. I always secretly hope it hits them in the shins the little shit bags. Perhaps they were challenging me to a ride off who the hell knows. Usually you can find them hanging outside co-op asking for 20p but this day, they decided to follow me around the village while James took shots for my blog. The things we do for our little space on the internet eh?

Basically while searching for inspo for my actual job, I found a picture of a woman on her Dutch town bike not too dissimilar to mine looking cute AF and I kinda wanted to give it a go. Props to her as she nailed it, me however well, lol. Points for trying at least? No? ok.

My questionable blog prop aside, I want to bring your attention to my new [old] Scouts shirt I managed to snag at York's weigh and pay from the weekend just gone [post coming soon] I took my BBF's Pip and Charlotte along with me as they are well-seasoned vintage connoisseur, something I am far from. I was hoping to find a hidden diamond in the rough and this scout jacket well and truly lived up to just that and then some.

Going back to my Hayley style fascination, I'm pretty sure she had something similar to this and obviously I wanted to get me some f that. She just makes everything cool yano? And roughly 6+ years down the line, I've found my very own. NGL, when I wear it, it kinda makes me feel like I'm wearing half a paramedics uniform which is erm new.

  4. Omg that last picture is bomb AF. I love the bike prop and you're kinda making me want to get one although tbh the idea of cycling on London's streets makes me die a little inside.
Also that scout shirt is actually amazing! I really need to try proper vintage shopping one of these days! XO
