Blogger in York

Alternative Style Blogger

Question: What do you do when you head out to York for the day and want to squeeze in a cheeky shoot for your blog cos your new outfit made you feel banging but you forgot your fucking memory card?

Answer: You improvise using your Boyfriends iPhone 7. ALL THE GRAIN BITCHES.

I digress as per.

So since Wednesday, like it or not around 98% of the internet was well aware Paramore released a new song, and guys let me tell you I've been patiently waiting for my forever baes to release some new music and I was not disappointed. Sure it sounds nothing like older stuff, 10 years ago we had the likes of misery business, nothing at all like hard times. I fucking love it. I'm totally in love the whole aesthetic, I seriously am so excited to hear the rest of the album, and lads, if I don't get tickets to their tour in June, I'll legit cry my eyes out.

Damn, I did it again, veering off into a tangent for the second time, I promise the whole Paramore spiel had a point to it. Since the age of 16, Hayley Williams has been a constant source of inspiration for style. I wanted to channel a bit of that in my outfit. I kinda went bright colours mad in Zara and picked up a few of basics, one of which is this gloriously soft orange t-shirt, it's like wearing a hug it's so soft. This whole get up reminds me of something Hayley Would have put together a few years ago, dead casual, but for whatever reason, she could make even a pair of jeans and a basic T the dreamiest combo. Taking a leaf out of her book, trying to do the effortlessly cool thang, I tried to do just that, the pops of orange really broke up the otherwise all black ensemble, you know ya girls all about the bright colours. Oh, BTW, speaking of bright, my hairs going to be undergoing a HUGE overhaul Saturday. I mean the pastels were fun and everything but it's time to add back I that signature bright back in, I'm so excited!

I've recently taken to wearing jeans lately, something I would have otherwise avoided, I have/had a bit of a jean phobia, they just make me feel so frumpy, I'd out them on and hate how I'd look, now, I'm getting so tired of hating on my body, I'm finally learning to accept it, despite what my head tries to tell me. I felt good this day and you know what? I didn't hate on myself for wearing jeans.
