Q61 Studio in Leeds

Q61 Studio Leeds

Q61 is a beauty studio located in the heart of Leeds city centre offering the ultimate experience in beauty treatments - without having to break the bank! The studio is run by a Husband and Wife team Michael and Helena Linsky after Helena had a disappointing experience at another beauty studio. Whilst the guys were on their honeymoon [dedication or what] they stared planning their new business venture. A beauty studio that delivers excellent treatments, leaving you feeling satisfied with your experience. A few Tuesdays ago I was invited along to the Q61 Studio event in Leeds to check out the studio and was able to pick out to have 2 treatments done and I got just that.

I opted for lash extensions [ya gal needs all the help in that department] and to get my nails done in the super lush studio. Unfortunately, as I live in such a rural area of East Yorkshire, the train times were not on my side meaning I only had time to get one of the treatments done and then had to dash off to catch my train. The treatment I was able to have and the one I was most excited about was the lash extensions, they're meant to last 2-3 weeks, I'll be going into my third week of having them on and they're still going strong! Every single one of the staff members were ultra friendly and chatty and it was a absolute pleasure to have treatments done by such lovely people.

The studio is supper sleek and uber stylish, with an abundance of treatments and reasonable prices there philosophy: ''We're here for one reason: you. You're our passion.'' They're commitment to their philosophy means they will go above and beyond to ensure they deliver to you the best possible experience whilst having a treatment done at their studio, and leaving with ultimate satisfaction.

To make an appointment or to check out the studio for yourself check out: Q61 Studio Leeds

I know I'll defo be paying them another visit it the very near future, gals just found her new fave beauty Studio ;)

Get Your Freak-Shake On at Angelica in Leeds

Angelica Freak Shake Leeds

Freakshakes originally from Canberra Austraila are an Instagrammable phenonium that has been popping up in various places in the UK  [mainly London] and has now migrated up and found a home in Leeds city center at the Angelica so us Northerners can enjoy these monster shakes too.

There are 3 absolute things about me:

1) Hayley Williams is my hero
2) Cats = life
3) I'm addicted to sugar - in any form

Now with the latter point being said, I was so grateful to get an invite to try the shakes out for myself.

The Angelica is a seriously chic bar/restaurant situated in Leeds in the Trinity center overlooking the city's urban skyline. We were greeted at the door by friendly staff to then be shown to our table. The manager Dan came over and introduced himself and told us a bit about the shakes and then went to have them made leaving James and I to enjoy the surroundings. We were lucky enough to resented by both the shakes inspired by the new live action film of Beauty and the Beast. Other guests at the restaurant were impressed by the sheer size and nature of these huge shakes.

To quote:

'' The Belle Freakshake has taken inspiration from the Disney character’s famous golden ball gown, with a delicious mix of yellow tasty treats and sweets. And of course, the Beast Freakshake, inspired by his rugged blue waistcoat and brown fur, expect a lot of chocolate in this gigantic shake''.

Now usually these shakes are sharers and I can totally see why, each one is filled to the brim with ice cream, cream and other treats squished in there to be then topped with even more cream and you've guessed it - more treats! I'm talking actual doughnuts and, brownies and my fave, a little mini ice cream complete with cone!

After being defeated by the biggest milkshake I have ever seen, we left with bellies full and my daily sugar craving well and truly satisfied, to try the shakes out for yourself at just £12 each, head to the Angelica for complete sweet tooth satisfaction!

Take your Time Preciosa

Zara T-shirt Dress

I think it's fair to say I'm quite experimental when it comes to fashion and we all know I'm no stranger to something a little bit odd and if I'm honest, I don't really feel like 100% me if I'm not. I'm always on the lookout for the next thing for my wardrobe that brings that little something else perhaps like, oh I don't know

A TSHIRT WITH BRIGHT ORANGE ATTACHED AT THE HEM

-Fricking genius

Well done Zara like seriously. As soon as I saw this t-shirt dress in store I knew I needed to add it to my wardrobe of weird, plus it has a slogan on and we all know I can't say no to a slogan, so that completely justifies this purchase right? Every part of me was screaming this shouldn't work - but it totally does.

Does anybody remember that SATC episode where Carrie was drooling over everything in Dior and the entire collection in store had brightly coloured bits of like fluff stuck all over it? Totally feeling that vibe channeled in this t-shirt dress. The day I wore this dress it was uncharacteristically hot for March, so much so I had to take my new Pull and Bear jacket off, I couldn't hack keeping it on to shoot for this post so that little bebe will be debuted some other time. The sun is also the reason that the running theme of me in my most recent photos I'm doing the whole brooding and mysterious glare into the distance stare, when in actual fact I was getting blinded by the sun. Attractive.

Have you got any wardrobe weirdness you love? Let me know in the comments below!

Trying to Introduce the Jogger into my Everyday Wear

Tallulah's Threads

If you had told me back in my teens, heck even 3 years ago I was an avid joggers fan, I'd have laughed right at you while stimulatingly hugging my tightest pair of skinny jeans. Now it's been an almost complete role reversal, What was once my staple item of clothing has been traded in for a pair of comfy joggers, I now very rarely wear jeans.

I used to hate the whole sportslux thing and was very much an advocate for ''activewear should only be worn when being well, active. . . ." Then it kinda exploded everywhere and I wanted me a piece and essentially I ended up eating my words leaving me developing a huge soft spot for Adidas in particular. Cue these burgundy babes my love got me for Christmas. Of course, they're absolutely fine for lounging around and going to and from the gym and classes but I wanted to challenge myself into introducing them into everyday wear and not just leisure wear.

Now I know this whole look doesn't exactly scream day time chic but it's a start at trying to introduce the jogger into everyday outfits. Baby steps and all that. To keep it casual before I get my experimental on, I thought I'd go with a simple Tee with my Tallulah's Threads Girl Gang ringer tee. Seriously, guys, the new drop is something else - I've got some more pieces from the collection I can't wait to style up and debut on the blog for you all.

BTW, how do we feel about sandals and joggers? I kinda really dig it and have found every excuse to wear these shoes with any outfit and couldn't really see why joggers would be an exception. When I wear this unlikely combo together, I kinda feel a little ghetto chic? Is that even a thing? I have no idea what I'm saying anymore . . . .

P.s these shoes are fluffy on the inside too ;)
