Eliminate Girl Hate

Question: Will my love for slogan Tee's ever die?

Answer: Never, especially when I keep finding corkers like this.

I am a feminist, in the sense that I believe in equal rights for all sexes. I'm sure like a lot of gals my age were taught by their peer's, girls had to behave in a certain way purely based on what reproductive organs they had. I thought I had to be modest and that having too much skin on show or to dress a certain way was shameful. From a young age I thought it was normal that girls were your enemy and that throughout my life I would be pitted against my fellow female, that catcalling should be considered a compliment and I should feel flattered someone has taken the time to shout undesired comments at me from the safety of their vehicle. . . .

From a young age it's integrated into girls you have to act a certain way, the whole ''not very ladylike'' thing and the fact people still use it and believe it is such a source of frustration for me. A woman should act however the hell they choose to conduct themselves. I'm still unsure how in 2017 such backward thinking is still a thing. It wasn't until my early to mid-twenties that I started to question the way I was brought up. I realised, it's not shameful for a woman to show a bit more skin, having multiple sexual partners isn't a sinful thing, other girls are certainly not my competition and I definitely definitely should not accept comments shouted at me from passing vehicle as a compliment. Regardless of your gender, you should always do you, you know as long as no one else is hurt in the process.

Slut Shaming, the perpetuation of girl hate and the myth of how a woman should act, need to be immediately stomped out right now. I don't hate my fellow female, I'm surrounded by a lot of strong females and nothing makes me happier than seeing them take on the world, after all, isn't one of the main aspects of feminism girls supporting other girls, especially in a world where what a woman does is scrutinised, so the last thing we should be doing is turning on each other. Supporting other women's success won't dampen your own, we take no shit but understand we don't have to bring other girls down to better ourselves. I'm proud to be a woman and I'm proud of my fellow women.
