What I thought of LondonEdge

LondonEdge

I travelled down to London, one of my most favourite cities in England [srsly someone give me like 50 grand to move down there] this Sunday to find out for myself what LondonEdge is all about.

Here's my take on it as a blogger. . . .

LondonEdge for me was a wicked way to be introduced to new brands, have sneaky peeks at new collections ready to be launched and all of the networking. After wandering around chatting to different exhibitioners about their brand and listening to a few seminars I felt incredibly inspired. Alternative fashion is so important. It's about being a little bit rebellious in what you wear, it's about experimentation, shaving your head, dying it colours brighter than the sun. Its' about breaking away from the norm and that's why I bloody love it.  It's made me want to really want to take more risks and experiment more with fashion

 Highlights

*I got to meet 2 blogging babes Elena and Emma on the day, it's always nice to meet up with the girls you talk to online and get to properly hang out. These two were so gorgeously lovely, it was a pleasure to spend the day talking all things blog and life with them.
*I managed to catch a seminar with Tish and Snooky, the sisters behind Manic Panic, the first hair dye brand I used when I first started experimenting with alternative style. They are true punk heroes filling us in with their New York exploits back in the 80's whilst sharing a JD on them. Not literally but um that would be totally cool with me.
*Something very very exciting came of networking down at the tradeshow that I'm literally dying to share with you and can't wait to get the ball rolling and basically lets just say my inner emo is freaking crying with joy.

Brands I loved

*YummyGummy Like I never knew I wanted a latex leopard print pencil skirt before but after chatting with the girls at the stand I want one more than ever and I'm literally counting down the days until it's available online.
*IronFist OMG where to start, let's just say their new range that's about to hit their website in the upcoming weeks will want you to throw all of the money at them, with kawaii fur coats with eyeballs to bat-winged boots I need and must get it al. Sorry bank account.
*Tallulahsthreads This brand is so dear to my heart for some many reasons, Danni the lovely lady behind this makes everything by hand and it's just the loveliest and makes weirdly wonderful dresses and two pieces, she has a wicked wild west theme going on a the moment that's just the cutest. I was lucky enough to be asked to help out with their lookbook last year, spending the day in Brighton with the lovely lady.
*T.U.K My first pair of creepers I ever had were a leopard print pair my best friend got me for my birthday, I've loved the brand ever since. I will be making suitable read not so suitable hints to my boyfriend to get me the pointed boot-Esque pair for Christmas.
*PunkyPins I will not stop until I own ever single one of their pins they have to offer, from cute animals to slogan pins, they're like Pokemon I've just gotta catch them all. Like now.
