Bohemian Vibes and Festival Feels

H&M Elephant Print Maxi Skirt

Ok, I'm just gonna start this off by saying I officially love being a red head again. In my early 20's I was all about Hayley Willaims inspired hair and nothing made me happier. Then I got promoted to Admin Supervisor at Morrisons and they made me conform and shit and it was bye bye wicked hair, I felt like I had lost my identity and my ''shine'' IDK. Its weird how hair can make you feel. I've since ditched the green uniform and well I'm at a place now that lets me be a read little more creative when it comes to expressing myself through my hair.

Tangent done

Have you ever bought something off the internet, loved it on the site, loved it when it showed up and then as soon as you try it on not so much? I'm am guilty of doing that serval times over and this elephant maxi skirt from H&M was no exception. I tried it on, hated it and then shoved it to the back of my draws. You know instead of doing the normal thing and sending it back. I think subsonically I just really wanted it to work. I really really love patterns like this, they remind me baggy harem pants you'd wear whilst exploring exotic places like Thailand [mental note, buy baggy elephant print harem pants from eBay] and well seeing as June and early July has seemed to do nothing but rain, you can't blame a girl for trying to bring a bit of paradise to a rainy Yorkshire.

Last weekend I was determined not to be defeated. I paired it with my fave cami/crop from Primark and my scruffy summer shoes that are just me summertime baes and you know what? I didn't hate it. I felt all bohemian queen ready to don some sort of hippie festival with a heart full of love and positivity. I think with my height like I've mentioned before, maxi dresses/skirts are a bit touch and go. I keep trying to make them work with 90% of the time failing miserably. But this time round, not too bad, perhaps it's the cheeky leg poking out showing you how pale I really am.
Man I need to get some sun.

  1. Love how you've styled this! And I totally agree, you NEED to get some of those baggy elephant pants, I wanna see how you'd wear them!
Definitely know the feels of losing your identity/shine when made to conform, I still don't feel 100% myself without my facial piercings but everywhere I've worked has been super strict on piercings & it became too much of a hassle to take them out for work and put them back in at the end of everyday.
