Bury It and Rise Above

Urban Outfitters Tea Dress

Ok so at this moment in time I'm blogging from James' car on the way to Cheshire. There's this thing called a ''hotspot'' on my iPhone that I can connect to my Mac and well my mind is officially blown. And so's my data. Don't judge too hard, I'm a technically n0ob and basically I love this.

Shall we now talk about the clothes? Let's talk about the clothes.

I'm back from one of my many eBay pilgrimages, this time bringing back with me this dress from Urban Outfitters. Lord knows what the price of it was brand new as you've got to take out a loan errytime you want to buy something from there, for me, I only had to spend a fiver.

This tea dress as I like to call them echoes the very dresses I used to love and wear when I was around 17. I was a sucker for anything with a collar, PeterPan ones were my preferred collar of choice - FYI. So when I saw this whilst browsing eBay, I felt so nostalgic that I had to place my bid.

There's 2 downsides, prizes if you have a hunch for what I'm about to say.

1) It's so damned short. I should just learn by now that my super stretched legs ain't built for dresses unless I don't mind flashing a bit of butt

2) Oh my God it's so see through. Like I thought it would be a bit sheer, but Nah you can totally see like my underwear and stuff. There's no way I could wear this without a vest underneath or tights. I guess I could trash it up and take it to my advantage and wear some black underwear underneath and make it like super obvious? I'll have a play and see.

I did have this in mind as being a lovely dress for the hotter summer days, the materials light and cool, perfect for those hot hot days when the British sun decides to shine. I also thought it would look pretty cute for when I'm swanning around Paris in August.
we shall see.

  1. This dress is super cute! It's definitely something I would've worn when I was 17 also! I normally just throw on shorts under a dress if it's a bit sheer/short! x

  2. The dress is cute except that it's too sheer for my liking, but I would have worn a tank top underneath and a pair of black leggings or shorts! ^-^
