LYDC My Style

I was set the task by LYDC to choose a bag from their Winter collection and then show myself using it in the day time and then transitioning into night. I scoured thought the winter catalogue and thought i’d set myself a challenge and picked out one of the rucksacks.
This particular one stuck out for me because
1) Faux fur hello it always has the festive feels and is big big big this time of year, you can never ever go wrong with faux fur.
2) You can’t go wrong with black. It was difficult choice between this and the red version they had to offer but I thought i’d play it safe as I seem to ruin most of my clothing/bags with some sort of stain #mess.
I like how the rucksack has kinda come back, and whenever I wear one, I like how it brings a 90s vibe to my outfit, you know i’m all about the 90s vibez. When I received the bag I was pleasantly surprised the strap could be adjusted giving you the option to use the bag as a rucksack or as a normal handbag. Aces of options!

So for my ‘’day’’ shots I decided to take my newly gifted bag out to Leeds where I did some early morning Christmas shopping and then would be attending a blogger event later on in the afternoon. The bag was perfect for storing all the things a Christmas shopper needs for a stressful day getting barged and pushed about, facing the masses trying to find that perfect gift for 20 different loved ones. There was enough space to pack my canon for the shot, snack[s] [also gotta have an emergency chocolate bar or 6] obviously my purse, make up hand gel and all other girls bag essentials. I was greateful for the over the shoulder style the bag as I could sling it over my shoulder ready to go into shoppers battle and weaving in and out of the stores aisle snagging that perfect bargain gift.

For my “night” shoots I had intended to use it for a girls night out in Leeds but lack of funds meant lack of night out, sigh [Stupid Christmas]. So Instead I took this bad boy out on a date night my Jim. I don’t think many people would choose a rucksack as a ‘’night out’’ accessory but I think this worked for 2 reasons.

1) I like to break the rules when it come to what I wear. I like it I wear it. I like this bag and i’ll use this bag be it a night out or a shopping day.

2) As this bag isn’t a stereotypical rucksack, mine usually have band patches pins buttons etc. It’s smart and classy,  it can be dressed up and down so easily making it incredibly versatile like mentioned a little way back in this post the faux fur is so on trend for the upcoming party season you can get away with wearing it anywhere.

I really did love that the bag worn as a rucksack finished my outfit off nicely tying in the 90s feel.
I am however really sad that blogging in the winter is hard when it comes to blog shoots. The nights getting super dark after 4pm means it nearly impossible to take decent pictures so these ones in my house will have to do, not nearly doing the bag and outfit the justice and showing its full potential. sigh.

What do you think to this post, would you have styled this bag differently?
